Today was the first Sunday in Lent. I also got to be blessed in front of the entire 11:15 mass. My heart was pounding out of my chest for some reason haha. I will be getting a blessing every Sunday during Lent. It is part of my becoming a Catholic. I have always considered myself Catholic, I just never made the Sacraments like everyone else. So this is my opportunity before Gavin gets older and before I get married to start a new life with my soon to be husband! Then after mass this morning, I headed over to St.Amelias Church, where I received a blessing (along with all the other candidates from other parishes around WNY) from the Bishop. It was quite an experience. Long, but very enlightening. Oh and our baby is 16 months today! =( Ok fine, he isn't a baby anymore. Our TODDLER is 16 months today.
