Day 31

Would you like fries with that? We were at Bobs parents house and they have a McDonalds play set that Gavin just wants to play with so bad when we are there, but we try to divert his attention so we dont have to drag this play set out to make a mess when we are usually only there for a short time. Well, Grampa S brought it out for Gavin to play with and he LOVED it! He was pretending to drink from the coffee cup, he was using the drive thru windows, he was giving us food and containers. It was just so adorable! He is too stinkin cute!

Day 30

2 degrees outside today. Yup TWO, and let me tell you, it felt like it too! It was snowing and beautiful and sunny. So it made it seem not so bad...when looking from the inside out. haha. We had our weigh in today for Biggest Loser and we both lost which is great! We go to Bobs parents house to weigh in and that is where this picture is taken.

Day 29

An apple a day keeps the doctor away...............or so they say. I have my CT Scan today on my head. I have been having those headaches for a long time every day for the most part and I cant take it anymore. I took the antibiotics like I was told and they said if I still have headaches to call them. So I was having them, I called and they sent me for a CT Scan. My knight in shining armor took me to it since my car is on the fritz, so it was much more relaxing knowing I had him with me. So the appointment was at 9:15am and now I am just waiting for the results...I hope everything is ok!

Day 28

Keeping in the feet theme of yesterday...todays picture is of mine and Gavins awesome slipper socks! They are GREAT! Warm, cozy and go up to your calves! He however likes to pull his off on occasion but keeps them on for the most part and much longer than he had ever kept on socks. His are from Target and mine are from JCPenney. Go get yourself a pair, you won't regret it!

Day 27

Little feet! This picture doesn't do the justice but my babies feet are so much bigger compared to this now. I couldn't help but take a picture of it when I was in his room. I look at it everyday and think about how I couldn't stop looking at his little feet when he was born. They were tiny and wrinkly and just perfect. Its just a reminder every single day of how truly blessed we are to have Gavin in our lives.

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Day 26

My monkey with his monkey! This is one of those velcro handed stuffed animals. In this case his is a monkey we won from Bobs work party at Dave & Busters. He seriously walked up to me and kept trying to show me he wanted it on his neck. So I hung the monkey on his neck and he walked around with it for about 2 and a half hours like that, he even brought him to bed with him when he went down for his nap. I have never seen him take such attachment to something. He never was attached to a certain blanket, binky, object or stuffed animal. Today however my lil monkey was literally attached to this one!(except for while sleeping of course)

Day 25

8 more months til I marry my best friend. He truly is everything I could ever imagine in a husband. Im actually sorry its taken us this long to become husband and wife but its for the best. We got engaged in April of 2009 and it was the best day of my life besides the birth of our son. It seems that anytime I have the best moments in life, Bob is right there beside me. I couldn't be more blessed! Our wedding will take place September 25, 2010. Our church we are getting married at is absolutely beautiful. The reception hall is just perfect. We have all our plans all set and ready for a stress free day! I am looking forward to sharing our special day with our large family and closest friends.

Day 24

Even though it doesn't look like it was pitch black in his room, it was (my speed light was on my camera), I snuck in to get a picture of him sleeping, and sure enough he is sitting up and smiling for me as I took the picture! Little stinker! We had a nice day today, just cleaned up around the house, played a whole lot and then went to my moms for dinner. Unfortunately we had to wake Gavin up from his nap to go but he was alright with it when he got to run around Gramma & Grampa B's house. He is so funny, he takes off into the kitchen then back around into the living room over and over again. It could be pitch black, he doesn't care, he wants to explore and thats what he does. He got to eat spaghetti (he had macaroni noodles) with us and fresh bread which he loved! He also had an orange for the first time while waiting for his dinner. He loved it! Gavin is pretty hysterical, my mom got out a bag for him to put his cars in and wouldn't you know it, he just loves this little brown bag. He walked around just putting things in it then dumping it out and laughing, such a typical little boy. He stopped to watch football quite a few times too and to put Grampas hats on each one of us. He is getting more and more talkative and showing his personality everyday! I just love my little man!

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Day 23

Chicken. It's a staple in our house. We have it oooooo I dunno maybe 5 times a week, haha, no really only a few times a week. Bob is fabulous, he will grill in any type of weather and cut up the chicken (and dices it for Gavin) and make rice and a vegetable. It's so great, you can just grab a Tupperware container and throw it in the microwave. You don't have to wonder what you will have for lunch because its made for you! Also I enjoy having those pre-made because by the time I get my lunch all prepared after getting Gavin's all set, he is all done and then cries for my food. He truly is great for a diet! =)

Friday, January 22, 2010

Day 22

Mmmmmm. Peanut Butter Cookies. Yes Bob and I are still involved in the Biggest Loser challenge, BUT who doesn't love a peanut butter cookie? I made a batch that makes 36 but only cooked 12. They came out a little dry, I have no idea why, I am thinking maybe less flour next time. They were very yummy especially when you are snuggled up watching a movie. They would be even better with a Hershey Kiss in the middle though!

Day 21

EDITED TO ADD:

To the "Anonymous" person who tried to leave this comment:
"WOW! So ZERO concern considering he had such and such shot before! And as for a 2-3 day window reactions can show up much later than that. I pray for not only your little maN, BUT FOR YOU AND OTHER PARENTS WHO BLINDLY DO WHATEVER!"

To try and leave a comment on MY blog like this and NOT use your name, SCREAMS cowardly. You have no idea what happened for weeks before this very post existed. Now while I realize you are only going off of what I posted here, you should have half a brain to realize as a mother, I researched and asked around before this appointment. So to state that I BLINDLY DO WHATEVER is absolutely asinine. I pray for YOUR children who probably aren't vaccinated and those poor children around them who CANT get vaccinated due to medical reasons. Take your inconsiderate comments elsewhere.

Well, Happy 15 Months Kiddo! Sorry you had to get shots today =(

So this morning started off just like I expected it to - horrible! My alarm went off, Gavin was still sound asleep. I made him breakfast got dressed and ready and then woke my poor sleeping monkey up from his slumber. He ate breakfast, then I tried to start my car. UGHHHH, after twenty or so tries to start this hoopty of mine, that mind you worked perfectly fine last night - no such luck. So, I had to call Gavin's Drs office and ask to reschedule for later. I called my dad, and he came out and got us. Gavin played happily and even flirted with a few little girls in the waiting room. He was then called to be seen. Temp at 98 degrees, measured at 31inches tall. Weighing in at 24.5 pounds. He is on the lower percentile for his age in height and weight but is consistent, and this mama likes consistent! Well, the Dr came in and we discussed my fears of giving Gavin all the shots at once since there are three he gets at this check up. Chicken Pox, MMR(Measles, Mumps & Rubella) and some other P word I think Pentax maybe...anyway the name really isn't important to my concern seeing that he had that one before, id have to look at my sheet. We talked and she could relate to my anxiety with these live viruses going into such a tiny body. I trust her though and she has been with Gavin since the day he was born. She is a great person and is very helpful so I trusted in her and went ahead with the shots and Gavin seems completely fine. We still have a 1-3 day window to watch for things but other than that, I pray my lil man will make it through just fine. Hope everyone has a great day today!

Day 20

The magically appearing turkey bologna in my fridge. Case number 12010.

I get all Gavin's breakfast stuff ready and go to get the milk for my coffee and happen to notice this brand new package of turkey bologna in my fridge. So I text Bob and ask "Hey, where did the bologna come from in the fridge" so any of you that actually know Bob will not be surprised by his answer. His text back "Haha. A Turkey". Really?! Seriously?! So now I have to rack my brain where it possibly could have came from. Well, trying not to submit to his game I say "No, really where did it come from?" and surprisingly I got the actual answer haha. His parents brought it over last night, they got it from his sister because she didn't like it. (They were over so we could go to a wake, R.I.P. Carrie)

So, I cracked the case of the mysterious bologna. I thought it was gonna take all day for Bob to give in and tell me, but luckily he must be busy at work and can't play around with guessing games. What a fun family I have!

Day 19

Hello and WELCOME to my sinuses antibiotics. Your stay will be short and nauseating but I promise to take you everyday til you are gone.

As you all know form Sundays post, I have been suffering with some really rough headaches. I finally caved after Sundays toboccle and called the Dr Monday morning. I wasnt able to be seen on Monday but I was able to be the very first patient on Tuesday morning and hey I have been dealing with this for about 3 weeks so whats another day right? So I go out to my car this morning and...it wont start. UGHHHHH. So I call my Grandpa who comes and picks me up and drives me to my appointment. He is so great! I am so lucky! So I go into the waiting room and of course Gavin wants to make sure everyone sees him and gives him a smile. So he starts talking in his Chinese he talks in flashing smiles left and right. Then, we go in and he immediately is smiling and talking to the pretty nurse while I get my weight and blood pressure done. Ahhh he is starting early...just lovely. We go in and I get checked turns out, I have massive amount of fluid in both ears and she couldn't believe I wasn't crying in pain over my ears compared to my headache. My mom told me I was the same way as a child. I would have full blown ear infections and be complaining that my throat hurt instead. So, then she sees some inflammation and says that worse case scenario its a impacted sinus and its trying to drain which is causing the infection and fluid in my ears and what not, best case scenario its just a sinus infection. I am supposed to call on Friday if I still have a headache, then I will be sent for a CT scan. At least its not the brain aneurysm I thought it was haha. (Disclaimer: I realize a brain aneurysm is not something to laugh about, what I was laughing at was the over dramatic person I was being telling Bob I was dying of a brain aneurysm)

Monday, January 18, 2010

Day 18

Ok, mind the Christmas pj's(why not use them if they still fit right?) and focus on the fun! Haha. Grampa & Gramma S gave this to Gavin a while back and Bob must have remembered it one day and went down to the basement and brought it up. Gavin just loves it! At first I think he was a little claustrophobic. He was breathing really weird like he was nervous then Bob got in with him and everything was alright! They were playing in it all night. Its the cutest thing. We put his chair in it and he just sits and watches tv from it! Haha. The best part of it is...IT FOLDS UP! WAHOOO!

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Day 17

I have nothing really original for today. I am suffering with the worst headache I have had in these last couple weeks. It goes away for a minute or sometimes an hour then surprises me and beats my head. So I made goulash today for the boys and me. It's easy to throw together and makes for a filling dinner. Messy, but hey that's what baths are for right? We were supposed to go to my moms today for pork chops (I love her cooking just for the record) but I think I would have just been a blob and no fun with this wretched headache. I seem to have been able to function through it the last couple weeks but today is just one of the worst days I have had with a headache. I am calling the Dr tomorrow to schedule an appointment but in the mean time if anyone has any awesome cures for a headache, I'm all ears.

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Day 16

Ahhh the joys of grocery shopping. Gavin is such a great helper! We set the bag down and he immediately goes right for it and starts to take things out of it and set them on the ground. We have to get all the things that he cant have out of it and that is usually a challenge. Just to get your hand in the bag before his is a fight sometimes but he's cute, so we manage. Haha. He is always so proud too after he empties the bag. This is the shot I got of him acting proud and "talking" of his accomplishments.

I would also appreciate it if everyone kept the Brzezicki family in your thoughts and prayers. They lost a beautiful 27 year old girl, Carrie, today in a head on crash with a tractor trailer who veered into her lane. Very tragic. Very sad. So much life to live and taken in such an unfair way. Our heart goes out to them!

Friday, January 15, 2010

Day 15

BANG BANG BANG! Thats all you hear from Gavin ever since we let him play with the popcorn tin. Gavin got the tin full of popcorn from Gramma S for Christmas. We took the popcorn out of it before giving it to him, and it was great, they packaged it in a bag so I didnt have to worry about contamination from the popcorn. (For those of you who dont know, our son is severely allergic to dairy products and eggs.) He has a little trouble getting the top on the tin but when he does, he becomes our little drummer boy. It's amazing to me how kids can be amused by such inexpensive silly things. Just like the box from yesterdays post. (Notice the box in the background, yeaaahhh cant seem to get rid of it)

Thursday, January 14, 2010

Day 14

VVVROOOOM. We buy our kids the most colorful, fun, noisy toys but yet it's the simple things in life that they love best. Gavins first ride was the laundry basket, now it's a box from his diapers. Grampa S pulled him around in the laundry basket at their house and then when he came home and saw the opportunity he climbed into his own. We went ahead and let him play with it for a few days pulling him around in it, letting him pull his toys around in it, then when he went to bed one night we put it back into his closet where it should be to collect his dirty clothes. Then I empty this box of diapers into his diaper stacker and clean up his room. He takes the empty box and is in the living room pushing it around like a toy going "Vrrroooom" all the while. Then daddy comes home and sticks him in the box, pulls him around and they laugh and have a great time. I thought the box car racing was over with and last night I put it next to the garbage that would be going out to the can tonight. I thought wrong. This morning after breakfast, I was cleaning up lil mans tray and turned around to him leaning up against the counter trying to get into the box for a ride. So that's what we did for a good portion of the morning. "Box Car Racing." Hey maybe Pampers will be our first sponsor, ya think?

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Day 13

This was the sky this afternoon looking outside our kitchen window. It was gorgeous and for a second, just a second, it felt warm. We are supposed to be getting a heat wave coming through. The average temperature will be a whoppin' 35 degrees! Now, I must say that will feel like a heat wave compared to our single digit, teens and low twenties we have been experiencing for a few weeks now but I just can't stand when the meteorologist declares a heat wave, it's just not realistic. Speaking of meteorologists, why didn't someone slip me the memo that you don't technically need to be right every time to land a job that pays very well. AND you get to be on TV? Sounds fabulous! Oh well, then I suppose I would have had to pass Earth Science huh?

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Day 12

Houston, we have a climber. Not that he wasn't already but now it's just gotten bad. He has gotten taller so now anything and everything he can attempt to climb he will. In this picture, you can't really see the Barney foam chair that he is standing on, but he will get up there and lift his leg to the coffee table, stare at you to see if you notice him then climb on up. Tables are for cups not for butts, right? Well, Gavin missed that memo. I was late with my camera to this climbing adventure so what you are seeing is Gavin giving me "the look" because I yelled at him about not climbing on the table, which I am sure to a 15 month old he heard, "NO! asjhgdhgdskjgskydfrios GET DOWN!" After this picture was taken, he said a bunch of jibberish to me. I am assuming this is the beginning of the talking back stage. Luckily he still doesn't say any "real" words...well lucky for him anyway right? Haha.

Monday, January 11, 2010

Day 11

Mmmmmm pot roast. A nice chunk of meat, potatoes, carrots and some flavoring is like heaven in a crock pot. AND Gavin can eat it!!!!!!!! Mainly why I am making a pot roast today is because a) to me, it's a comfort food and b) last night my poor future hubby had the worst toothache. I felt so terrible because I couldn't do anything but heat up a rice bag(which he thinks didn't help) give him some motrin and orajel and hope that it all kicked in so he could get some sleep. He tossed and turned and I laid there racking my brain on what else he could do to make it feel better(other than ripping it out of course). Its just hard when someone you care about so much is in tremendous pain and there is absolutely nothing you can do. Between him with a hurting tooth and Gavin teething I feel awful. I don't wish tooth pain on anyone. Take my word on this, it hurts more than natural labor, at least when I was hurting with a tooth ache it definitely did. Haha.

Day 10

Picture 1: After editing all night and for the beginning part of the day, not being able to sleep very well and getting up early from excitement for my photo shoot with the twins on Saturday...this mama was tired! Bob and I laid on the couch while Gavin ran around the living room. Soon after laying down I heard Bob snoring, so I knew I couldnt fall asleep until he woke back up. Bob woke up and started playing with Gavin and watching football. I grabbed a blanket and watched the back of my eyelids. Well, Bob grabbed the camera and caught me on "film" because he said it looked like I was sucking my thumb.(which for the record I wasnt)

Picture 2: Gavin and Bob were "home alone" while I was at my photo shoot. (See Day 9) While I was there Bob and Gavin pulled out all the little people and were lining them up on our bench. Then I guess Gavin copied Bob and was doing it all by himself then leaving them, then later would come back and knock them down. Well today, he did the same thing. Lined them up and knocked them over. Now this picture is staged by me since every time he would do it I would run for my camera and Gavin would have them knocked down by the time I got back. Its amazing how smart he is. He never ceases to amaze me...EVERYDAY. We are so lucky to have such an awesome little boy. He is truly a blessing to all that gets to know him!

Saturday, January 9, 2010

Day 9

I had the honor on Day 9 of my project to take pictures of these gorgeous newborn TWINS! Well, they are 22 days old, we had to reschedule due to weather conditions but lucky for me they are still peanuts. Weighing in at a little over 5lbs each, Baby K and Baby L are absolutely adorable. Mom was such an awesome help and a great person to chat with. I am so glad she let me into their home to tale pictures to help me build my portfolio. I truly had a great time.Congratulations again on your twins Mom and Dad, they are so precious! Thank you again!

Day 8

Water, do you drink enough of it? I certainly don't. I should and I plan on it. I get headaches without it. Not to mention the leg cramps that I blame on lack of hydration. Here's a few water facts for you:

Did you know that your body is made up of about 70% of water? It's kind of the same with the Earth, it's covered with about 70-75% of water. Did you know that you can actually die from drinking too much water though? Its some ridiculous amount that you would have to drink in a very small amount of time so its highly unlikely, but its still crazy to think about. A college student actually died from a hazing incident that involved chugging massive amounts of water, how sad.

Its recommended that you drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day. I'm going to guess that 8 out of 10 people probably don't consume this amount of just water. I mean "they" say that you can get it through other things as well and that's just as good, but I think 64oz of straight water without flavoring is the best bet. I used to be really great at drinking water. I knew all the benefits of it and what not and made sure I consumed 64oz or more a day...then life took over and it was thrown to the "I'll get to it" pile. However with us starting this biggest loser contest again, its getting me into drinking my water again. It makes me feel so much better, its part of my feeling better in 2010 "thing" I'm starting. Vitamins, Water, Exercise and Not holding back. It's the perfect remedy to make me feel better all the way around.

Well now get up and go get some water! =) Happy Friday!

Thursday, January 7, 2010

Day 7

I have deemed Thursdays my laundry day. I get up with Gavin, get him all set with his breakfast and go get the baskets from our rooms. Gavin just sits and watches and speaks his toddler language to me. I have a system and it works for me, although Bob likes to tease me about it, but after all my Mom always said, if they tease you, they must like you. So with that I continue to do our laundry on Thursdays and ignore his goofy comments. I do Gavin's first since his stuff needs to be in All Free & Clear due to his eczema and it also gets an extra rinse which takes another 10 minutes in washing machine time. Whats washing machine time you ask? Well I think it's kind of like football time, you know how it goes, there is two minutes left on the clock but really it takes about ten minutes, well folks that's washing machine time. I could go see how much longer, it will have a number 4 on it then 15 minutes later it finally finishes. Crazy, I know. Anyway, last night talking with my cousin and Bob got me thinking...I used to LOATHE doing the laundry. Like absolutely hated it. The whole thought of the entire process start to finish used to make me cringe. Having to lug everything to one of our parents houses or a laundry mat and just sit there waiting, it was like laundry was your keeper for that day. We would rather go buy new socks and underwear and such then be a slave to our laundry day. Then 4th of July 2008 came. We just moved into our apartment and Bob and I made our first real purchase together. It was our brandie spankin new washer and dryer. We couldn't have been happier. We were currently doing our laundry at his parents house and a laundry mat and with the baby on the way, it just made sense to have our own. Well the dryer just beeped so its about that time to fold and put away...ugh...

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Day 6

So... apparently in our town, there was some neon green mailing that went around telling its residents that we switched garbage companies and your garbage day was also switched. Would have been a GREAT memo to get. However it went to a town 20 minutes away to our property owners house. Lovely. So we missed that memo, and put our garbage out last night like we always do on Tuesday nights in anticipation for Wednesdays 10am pickup. WELP. Our neighbors got the memo, the town knew about the memo, the crows even got it. So this afternoon during Gavin's nap, I was outside cleaning up half eaten diapers, a picked at ham bone, old paper plates you get the picture. I will say this though, I spoke to a woman at the town clerks office at 11:55am...this truck was at my house to pick up our garbage at 12:17pm. Thats pretty good ill say. Kudos to them for customer service. I apologize for the cloudy picture, I took it through my window because I doubt the garbage man with a half smoked cigarette would want to pose for a picture haha.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

Day 5

.The Boogie Man DOES exist! haha. Well I have a teething snotty nosed kid currently. I think his eye teeth are coming in and causing this mess. Poor thing has the worst chapped cheeks and under nose from me wiping it. Its causing sneezing that results in the worst snotty nose EV-ER. So while Bob thinks this picture is gross and wanted me to use a different picture, I think it documents the starting of Gavin's other chompers coming in. The worst part of it is, during the night while he is snoring like a little piglet (cutest sound by the way) it wakes him up because of the pain and drainage. Im not huge on giving a small child too much medicine, but I think its high time we get some tylenol in this poor little man.

Monday, January 4, 2010

Day 4

Gavin and his ball pit. What can I say, Aunt Brandi knocked it out of the ball park with this birthday gift. The kid just loves hanging out in it, throwing things in it and out of it. His new thing is saying "OOOOO" to everything he likes. That is what is going on in this picture. He was looking at it saying "ooooooo" but then what you don't see (obviously) is the aftermath of this photo. Mommy got hit with that shiny green ball, luckily they are soft enough where I didn't get a black eye this time. Hmmm is my kid out to get me? haha.

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Day 3

This picture was taken with my phone looking out of Bill & Linda's picture window in their living room. Its hard to see, but the snow just didn't stop coming down. Today I was hoping to give you a picture of two beautiful newborn twins but unfortunately due to the weather conditions, travelling to Cheektowaga wasn't an option for me. So we will play it by ear for tomorrow but it looks like the snow isn't going to stop anytime soon. We started biggest loser again today. The same group who did it last time (Bob was the winner of $112 last time, I was so proud of him!) are up for it again. We weigh in every Saturday morning at Bill & Linda's house, hence(I know some of you hate that word haha) why this picture was taken there. We ended up staying there for a few hours then headed home to make Pea Soup with our leftover ham bone from the ham we cooked the other day. The rest of the day was just a lazy PJ day and we loved every minute of it!

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Day 2

Gavin's first time playing in the snow. What a wonderful experience. One you can only enjoy if you as a parent love the cold and snow, which both Bob and I do. It was the coldest day of the year (I didn't say I was an EXCELLENT parent haha) but we all bundled up with our at that time a foot of snow, took out the sleds(not snowmobiles actual children's sleds) and Bob pulled me and Gavin around our yard. Bob also pulled Gavin around the yard on his toddler toboggan in which he loved. He wasn't all too sure at first but after being out touching, tasting and looking at it he soon loved it. I brought out the camera and the tripod for a family photo, but I never have any pictures of me and Gavin together so Bob took this picture for me to incorporate into my project. Later this day we had some people come over for some drinks and we played Rock Band and had a blast!

Friday, January 1, 2010

Day 1

This picture was taken at Billy & Rachel's new house for their New Years Eve party (not with my Nikon but with my digital that I am going to start taking with me in situations where my big camera just wont do.) we had lots of fun, ate lots of food, drank some Captain Morgan and Ginger Ale and Rachel brought out packets of Hurricane Mix straight from New Orleans, so that was a nice treat! It was great ringing in the new year with my soon to be husband and his family. Although Jenny wasn't there but we all received phone calls from her, so she was sorta "there". Anyway it was a great evening, not so much while driving home being behind the creepiest old man who could not drive probably due to his intoxication level, we were going to call in his plate but didn't know how all that works. I sadly can say I remember his plate number STILL...now ask me to remember to do laundry tomorrow, I might forget.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have declared that 2010 is going to be our year. 2009 was full of nonsense and heart break and down right depression. It seemed we just couldn't catch a break no matter how hard we tried. However I feel things happen for a reason, and that is why our 2009 was so crappy, because this year is our year! Don't get me wrong 2009 was also full of love and family and friends and yes that's all you need in life but you cant help but get a little down when things don't go your way or when bad things happen to good people or little people for that matter.

So this is our blog for one year, I may continue after the year, I guess it all depends. This 365 Day Project is a great way to really relive our year through pictures. I think it is going to be neat. I also am doing it with a bunch of wonderful women who also love photography and family so that makes it even better. If you haven't got by now what a 365 day project is, let me break it down for you...I am going to take a picture every day this year and post it and write about it.

VoilĂ !

Enjoy! Hope everyone has a great year!
