EDITED TO ADD:
To the "Anonymous" person who tried to leave this comment:
"WOW! So ZERO concern considering he had such and such shot before! And as for a 2-3 day window reactions can show up much later than that. I pray for not only your little maN, BUT FOR YOU AND OTHER PARENTS WHO BLINDLY DO WHATEVER!"
To try and leave a comment on MY blog like this and NOT use your name, SCREAMS cowardly. You have no idea what happened for weeks before this very post existed. Now while I realize you are only going off of what I posted here, you should have half a brain to realize as a mother, I researched and asked around before this appointment. So to state that I BLINDLY DO WHATEVER is absolutely asinine. I pray for YOUR children who probably aren't vaccinated and those poor children around them who CANT get vaccinated due to medical reasons. Take your inconsiderate comments elsewhere.

So this morning started off just like I expected it to - horrible! My alarm went off, Gavin was still sound asleep. I made him breakfast got dressed and ready and then woke my poor sleeping monkey up from his slumber. He ate breakfast, then I tried to start my car. UGHHHH, after twenty or so tries to start this hoopty of mine, that mind you worked perfectly fine last night - no such luck. So, I had to call Gavin's Drs office and ask to reschedule for later. I called my dad, and he came out and got us. Gavin played happily and even flirted with a few little girls in the waiting room. He was then called to be seen. Temp at 98 degrees, measured at 31inches tall. Weighing in at 24.5 pounds. He is on the lower percentile for his age in height and weight but is consistent, and this mama likes consistent! Well, the Dr came in and we discussed my fears of giving Gavin all the shots at once since there are three he gets at this check up. Chicken Pox, MMR(Measles, Mumps & Rubella) and some other P word I think Pentax maybe...anyway the name really isn't important to my concern seeing that he had that one before, id have to look at my sheet. We talked and she could relate to my anxiety with these live viruses going into such a tiny body. I trust her though and she has been with Gavin since the day he was born. She is a great person and is very helpful so I trusted in her and went ahead with the shots and Gavin seems completely fine. We still have a 1-3 day window to watch for things but other than that, I pray my lil man will make it through just fine. Hope everyone has a great day today!

Day 20
I get all Gavin's breakfast stuff ready and go to get the milk for my coffee and happen to notice this brand new package of turkey bologna in my fridge. So I text Bob and ask "Hey, where did the bologna come from in the fridge" so any of you that actually know Bob will not be surprised by his answer. His text back "Haha. A Turkey". Really?! Seriously?! So now I have to rack my brain where it possibly could have came from. Well, trying not to submit to his game I say "No, really where did it come from?" and surprisingly I got the actual answer haha. His parents brought it over last night, they got it from his sister because she didn't like it. (They were over so we could go to a wake, R.I.P. Carrie)
So, I cracked the case of the mysterious bologna. I thought it was gonna take all day for Bob to give in and tell me, but luckily he must be busy at work and can't play around with guessing games. What a fun family I have!

Day 19
As you all know form Sundays post, I have been suffering with some really rough headaches. I finally caved after Sundays toboccle and called the Dr Monday morning. I wasnt able to be seen on Monday but I was able to be the very first patient on Tuesday morning and hey I have been dealing with this for about 3 weeks so whats another day right? So I go out to my car this morning and...it wont start. UGHHHHH. So I call my Grandpa who comes and picks me up and drives me to my appointment. He is so great! I am so lucky! So I go into the waiting room and of course Gavin wants to make sure everyone sees him and gives him a smile. So he starts talking in his Chinese he talks in flashing smiles left and right. Then, we go in and he immediately is smiling and talking to the pretty nurse while I get my weight and blood pressure done. Ahhh he is starting early...just lovely. We go in and I get checked turns out, I have massive amount of fluid in both ears and she couldn't believe I wasn't crying in pain over my ears compared to my headache. My mom told me I was the same way as a child. I would have full blown ear infections and be complaining that my throat hurt instead. So, then she sees some inflammation and says that worse case scenario its a impacted sinus and its trying to drain which is causing the infection and fluid in my ears and what not, best case scenario its just a sinus infection. I am supposed to call on Friday if I still have a headache, then I will be sent for a CT scan. At least its not the brain aneurysm I thought it was haha. (Disclaimer: I realize a brain aneurysm is not something to laugh about, what I was laughing at was the over dramatic person I was being telling Bob I was dying of a brain aneurysm)

I would also appreciate it if everyone kept the Brzezicki family in your thoughts and prayers. They lost a beautiful 27 year old girl, Carrie, today in a head on crash with a tractor trailer who veered into her lane. Very tragic. Very sad. So much life to live and taken in such an unfair way. Our heart goes out to them!

Day 14

VVVROOOOM. We buy our kids the most colorful, fun, noisy toys but yet it's the simple things in life that they love best. Gavins first ride was the laundry basket, now it's a box from his diapers. Grampa S pulled him around in the laundry basket at their house and then when he came home and saw the opportunity he climbed into his own. We went ahead and let him play with it for a few days pulling him around in it, letting him pull his toys around in it, then when he went to bed one night we put it back into his closet where it should be to collect his dirty clothes. Then I empty this box of diapers into his diaper stacker and clean up his room. He takes the empty box and is in the living room pushing it around like a toy going "Vrrroooom" all the while. Then daddy comes home and sticks him in the box, pulls him around and they laugh and have a great time. I thought the box car racing was over with and last night I put it next to the garbage that would be going out to the can tonight. I thought wrong. This morning after breakfast, I was cleaning up lil mans tray and turned around to him leaning up against the counter trying to get into the box for a ride. So that's what we did for a good portion of the morning. "Box Car Racing." Hey maybe Pampers will be our first sponsor, ya think?

Day 10
Picture 2: Gavin and Bob were "home alone" while I was at my photo shoot. (See Day 9) While I was there Bob and Gavin pulled out all the little people and were lining them up on our bench. Then I guess Gavin copied Bob and was doing it all by himself then leaving them, then later would come back and knock them down. Well today, he did the same thing. Lined them up and knocked them over. Now this picture is staged by me since every time he would do it I would run for my camera and Gavin would have them knocked down by the time I got back. Its amazing how smart he is. He never ceases to amaze me...EVERYDAY. We are so lucky to have such an awesome little boy. He is truly a blessing to all that gets to know him!

Day 8

Did you know that your body is made up of about 70% of water? It's kind of the same with the Earth, it's covered with about 70-75% of water. Did you know that you can actually die from drinking too much water though? Its some ridiculous amount that you would have to drink in a very small amount of time so its highly unlikely, but its still crazy to think about. A college student actually died from a hazing incident that involved chugging massive amounts of water, how sad.
Its recommended that you drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day. I'm going to guess that 8 out of 10 people probably don't consume this amount of just water. I mean "they" say that you can get it through other things as well and that's just as good, but I think 64oz of straight water without flavoring is the best bet. I used to be really great at drinking water. I knew all the benefits of it and what not and made sure I consumed 64oz or more a day...then life took over and it was thrown to the "I'll get to it" pile. However with us starting this biggest loser contest again, its getting me into drinking my water again. It makes me feel so much better, its part of my feeling better in 2010 "thing" I'm starting. Vitamins, Water, Exercise and Not holding back. It's the perfect remedy to make me feel better all the way around.
Well now get up and go get some water! =) Happy Friday!

Day 5
.
The Boogie Man DOES exist! haha. Well I have a teething snotty nosed kid currently. I think his eye teeth are coming in and causing this mess. Poor thing has the worst chapped cheeks and under nose from me wiping it. Its causing sneezing that results in the worst snotty nose EV-ER. So while Bob thinks this picture is gross and wanted me to use a different picture, I think it documents the starting of Gavin's other chompers coming in. The worst part of it is, during the night while he is snoring like a little piglet (cutest sound by the way) it wakes him up because of the pain and drainage. Im not huge on giving a small child too much medicine, but I think its high time we get some tylenol in this poor little man.

Day 1
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have declared that 2010 is going to be our year. 2009 was full of nonsense and heart break and down right depression. It seemed we just couldn't catch a break no matter how hard we tried. However I feel things happen for a reason, and that is why our 2009 was so crappy, because this year is our year! Don't get me wrong 2009 was also full of love and family and friends and yes that's all you need in life but you cant help but get a little down when things don't go your way or when bad things happen to good people or little people for that matter.
So this is our blog for one year, I may continue after the year, I guess it all depends. This 365 Day Project is a great way to really relive our year through pictures. I think it is going to be neat. I also am doing it with a bunch of wonderful women who also love photography and family so that makes it even better. If you haven't got by now what a 365 day project is, let me break it down for you...I am going to take a picture every day this year and post it and write about it.
VoilĂ !
Enjoy! Hope everyone has a great year!
